Jason received his M.A. in Emergency and Disaster Management from American Military University. He is currently the Director of Safety and Business Continuity for a medical center in Northeast Texas providing his 16 years of leadership and expertise in the areas of hospital safety, security, emergency preparedness and business continuity. He also serves as an Emergency Management Adjunct Faculty at the College of Online and Continuing Education at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU).
Jason began his emergency services career as a firefighter in the United States Air Force. Upon his discharge from the military he served in safety and emergency management roles for the City of Plano (TX), the Civil Air Patrol, Texas Instruments and Southern Methodist University.
Jason has been invited to be a speaker at the Student Veterans of America national conference, presented at the Center for Campus Fire Safety Forum, FM Global Healthcare and Education Leaders Forum and has served on numerous other committees and boards.
Jason is also dedicated to international and social activities. He serves on the Board of Directors for Heroes in Action, an all volunteer 501(c)3 nonprofit that supports event planners as they build and sustain incredible tributes to first responders and veterans.. He serves on the international VOST Leadership Coalition, Texas Emergency Medical Task Force, and other local emergency preparedness organizations.
